Standard Plan
Who is it for?
All students at UBCO.
How does it work?
Pre-pay at $3,673.60 per 8 months.
Plan consists of $3,326.40 Basic Meal Dollars and $347.20 Flex Dollars.
Basic dollars are tax-free (save 5%) and can be used at most UBC Food Services Locations on campus for meals and most single-serve non-alcoholic beverages.
Flex dollars are taxable and are used for other on-campus purchases (gum, candy, chips, toiletries, convenience and grocery store items), at our off-campus dining partners, and all campus dining locations.
How do I sign up?
Use your CWL to log into the SHHS Online Service Centre and navigate to the Food Services tab.
- Available to all students at UBCO.
- Dollars do not expire. When your contract expires, your remaining balance is auto-transferred to a non-refundable, non-transferable and taxable Carryover Plan, valid for on-campus food purchases.
- A partial refund may be requested within seven days after your contract has been cancelled or expired. To qualify for a refund a minimum amount of $50 is required. If you request a refund: 66% of unused Basic Meal Plan Dollars are refunded, with the remaining 34% retained by UBC Food Services. Unused Flex Dollars are refunded at 100%. All refunds are subject to a $25 administration fee. You may request a refund of your Flex Dollars only, and allow your Basic Meal Plan Dollars to automatically be placed in a carryover plan. The Flex Dollars will be refunded at 100% minus a $25 administration fee. Refunds are initiated once you have completed the refund form.
- Cardholder is responsible for all transactions and any indebtedness arising from card use.
- UBC Food Services reserves the right to withdraw any or all card privileges.
- Information is kept confidential in compliance with the Freedom Of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
- Lost card? Go online to freeze your account. File a report and get a replacement card at the UBC Carding Office. Reactivate your account to use your new card.

Semester Plan
Who is it for?
All students at UBCO.
How does it work?
Pre-pay at $1,836.80 per 4 months.
Plan consists of $1,663.20 Basic Meal Dollars and $173.60 Flex Dollars.

Load up your UBC Card with Flex Dollars (minimum $5) that can be conveniently used for on-campus purchases (gum, candy, chips, toiletries, convenience and grocery store items), at our off-campus dining partners, and all campus dining locations.

- Available to all students at UBCO.
- Dollars do not expire.

Carryover Plan (not for purchase)
Who is it for?
Students with unspent Mandatory Meal Plan Dollars or remaining funds on a Standard or Semester Plan at the end of their contract.
How does it work?
If you don’t request a specific refund option at the end of your contract, your remaining balance lands in a Carryover Meal Plan. Use it to make purchases at UBC Food Services Locations, pay-for-print, campus vending machines, or at any of our UBCO Campus Partners (see list of campus partners below).

- Non-refundable, taxable, cannot be redeemed for cash and/or applied as payment to any other Food Services accounts.
- Card holder is responsible for all transactions made on the card and for any indebtedness arising from such use.
