Intuitive Eating

Join us on a journey of self-discovery! Over the next few weeks, we’ll explore the 10 Principles of Intuitive Eating created by dietitians Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. In the process, we’ll learn to listen to our bodies, trust our internal hunger and fullness cues, enjoy all types of foods, and release the pressures of diet culture!

Intuitive eating is a mind body approach that teaches us to tune in to our physical and psychological needs.

It does not involve:

x calorie counting x good vs. bad foods x numbers on the scale x diets of any kind.

There is no failing, because we know our bodies best. By focusing on the eating experience – taking pleasure in choosing what to eat, and savouring every bite – we can achieve satisfaction at mealtimes.

The Principles of Intuitive Eating

The intuitive eating journey can be challenging, and you may find you need more support. If you need more guidance or just want to chat, email our dietitian, Erin Wile. You can also drop in to see her in the Nechako Wellness Hub every Tuesday from 12 to 2 pm.
